 The Yadkin Wine Festival, held in Elkin, NC last weekend, was great. There were more than 30 wineries represented, along with craft and food vendors. And there was plenty of good music to be danced to. The sun was shining, and temperatures in the mid 70s made conditions more than just comfortable. It was a glorious day, indeed. This year's Shine to Wine event in North Wilkesboro, NC proved to be a great event. To be sure, not all the wineries present were from the Yadkin Valley, or even from the Swan Creek Appelations, but there was plenty of North Carolina wine to be tasted. The weather cooperated most of the time, and even when there were raindrops, they didn't seem to deter anyone from having a great time. Check the video below for an overview of some of the wineries and comments from a few participants.
